FOCUSED Autism EVALUATION
The Focused Autism Evaluation is designed specifically for diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), using a streamlined, remote-only format. This evaluation incorporates the MIGDAS-2 (Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing Autism Spectrum), a strengths-based and personalized approach to diagnosing autism. Conducted entirely via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, the evaluation offers convenience while maintaining thoroughness and accuracy.
- Intake Appointment: 1 hour
- Testing Length: 2 to 2.5 hours
- Collateral: One collateral interview (optional) or 25 pages of record review
- Diagnostic Summary: Includes ASD diagnostic impression and recommendations
**Remote-Only Offering**: This Focused ASD Evaluation is offered remotely only via a secure telehealth platform. This allows for maximum flexibility and convenience, enabling you to complete the assessment from the comfort of your home while still receiving an accurate and professional evaluation.
Clinical Interview This interview is conversational and strengths-focused, helping to understand how the individual experiences autism traits, including social communication and sensory preferences.
The tests will evaluate key areas such as:
- Social communication and interaction skills
- Sensory processing and preferences
- Cognitive abilities, including problem-solving and executive functioning
- Behavioral patterns and repetitive behaviors
Screening for Co-Occurring Conditions: As part of the evaluation, brief screeners will be administered remotely to assess for co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, or other mood related disorders, which often occur alongside autism.
Collateral Information: Input from family members, friends, or coworkers may be gathered remotely to provide additional context. Their observations help in understanding how your social and behavioral patterns present across different environments.

Note: Appointment days and times vary based on availability. Dr. Moreland only schedules a limited number of evaluations per month due to the time requirements and complexity of these cases.
